CENTRAL ILLINOIS REGIONAL AIRPORT RECORD OF SELF-SERVICE FUEL TRAINING

It is required that all pilots and authorized personnel conducting self-service fueling at the Central Illinois Regional Airport review the PowerPoint presentation titled “A User Guide: Self-Service Aircraft Fueling at BMI” – when complete, submit this signed training form prior to first fuel.

1. The self-service fuel facility falls under the purview of FAA Part 139.(Required)
2. BMI’s self-service fuel facility has a 10,000-gal capacity, which is internally comprised of two 5,000-gal tanks, capable of dispensing two products.(Required)
3. The first and last step in self-service fueling is grounding of the aircraft.(Required)
4. There are two Emergency Fuel Shut Off’s (EFSO) located at the fuel facility.(Required)
5. There are two 20# BC fire extinguishers located at the fuel facility.(Required)
6. Pilot fueling supplies (ladder, chocks, protection mat) and spill kit are provided next to the fuel facility.(Required)
7. Pump #1 is always entered in the payment pedestal, and then the user selects either Hose #1 or Hose #2.(Required)
8. Aircraft must be completely parked west of the painted red line, situated on top of the yellow epoxy painted box.(Required)
9. If a spill occurs, stop fueling immediately, use materials in spill kit to contain & clean spill, notify Airport Operations at 309.834.7396 and do not start engine until area is safe.(Required)
10. To activate the pump/dispenser, an Airport issued AOA badge is needed to swipe the badge reader on the side of the payment pedestal. Fueling privileges may be revoked if fueling safety is not upheld or if best practices are not maintained.(Required)
