There are several options for booking your next flight out of CIRA. You can contact the airline directly through their websites or phone numbers, you can use an online booking engine such as Expedia, Orbitz, Kayak or similar, you can book through a travel agent, or you can visit the airline’s ticket counter in person, just be sure to check their schedules to ensure the ticket counter will be open when you plan to visit.
If you booked through an online booking engine, you should contact them to confirm your flight. If you booked directly through the airline (either through their website or phone number), you can contact the airline to confirm.
If your bag does not arrive at CIRA when you do, you can file a lost luggage claim at your airline’s ticket counter. Once you’ve filed a claim, you can contact your airline’s lost luggage department to follow up on the status.
The airlines suggest you arrive at least ninety minutes prior to your scheduled departure time. This allows a comfortable amount of time to check-in (if necessary), check baggage, proceed through the security process and arrive at your departing gate easily.
Your flight will begin boarding twenty to thirty minutes prior to departure.
The TSA Security Checkpoint opens at 4:30 a.m.
Each airline has a flight alert system for delays, cancellations or other irregular scheduling issues. Through your airline website or reservations system, be sure your contact information is included in your reservation prior to your day of departure.

The terminal opens at 4:00 a.m. and the parking lot shuttle begins running at 4:00 a.m. as well. The TSA Security Checkpoint opens at 4:30 a.m.

We do offer a TSA Pre-Check lane at CIRA , available for the most of our flights.

Parking is free at the Central Illinois Regional Airport, regardless of the length of your trip. As you drive toward the terminal building on the entrance road you will see signage directing you to both long term and short term parking. Short term is two hours or less and is immediately in front of the terminal building. Long term (anything over two hours) is immediately behind the two-hour parking lot. Yes, CIRA does offer a parking shuttle between the long term lot to the terminal. You may reach the shuttle directly upon your arrival at CIRA by calling (866)-967-2472.
The shuttle does have a wheelchair lift to assist riders with wheelchairs.
Due to COVID-19, hours are currently limited to 10:00 AM until the last flight arrives on Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday. There is currently no service on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday.
Wheelchairs are available in the vestibule of the terminal building. Contact your airline prior to your arrival to arrange assistance.

Yes! We have an ATM inside the terminal near the airline ticket counters (before you get to the Turbo Grill and the security checkpoint).
Currently closed due to COVID 19 – Turbo Grill is pre-security and available to anyone in the terminal building regardless of whether or not they are a ticketed passenger.
Jetstream and the Radar Bar are located on the second level of the gate area, across from Gate 5. Hours are typically 4:30 a.m. daily to the last departure of the day.
The Route 66 Gift Shop located in the gate area on the second level between Gates 5 and 9 offers grab n’ go food items, snack items and beverages.
Yes! Look for the rows of seats against the walls – they have power outlets beneath the seats. You can also find more charging options in the Relax and Recharge area on the second level near Gate 5.
We have a mail drop in the Airport Authority offices, which are open during regular business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.).
Smoking is permitted outside the terminal at least 15 feet from entrances, per the Smoke-Free Illinois Act. For your convenience, smoking receptacles are located on either side of the main entrance.
Yes! The grassy area west of the employee parking lot next to the west end of the terminal building is a designated pet relief area.
At this time, we do not have a foreign currency exchange service. Contact your bank or financial institution to inquire about this service.
