Bloomington, Ill. – Central Illinois Regional Airport at Bloomington-Normal is pleased to release its annual report for 2018. This report showcases the progress that has been made within the airport on numerous projects, a brief financial overview, data regarding growth in air service, marketing and communication efforts and upcoming projects for 2019.
Central Illinois Regional Airport has experienced many positive events in 2018. This report highlights those events and aims to make the public aware of the current state of the airport. Highlights mentioned in this report include adopting a new tax levy that will result in an estimated property tax decrease of 15%, welcoming service on Frontier Airlines and earning a perfect FAA Part 139 Safety inspection.
The report also includes statistics regarding air service growth at Central Illinois Regional Airport. In 2018, the overall total passengers increased by 9.1 %, enplanements increased by 9.4% and online website traffic increased by 9.7%.
