CIRA is an airport and that can mean different things to different people, some of which you may not know. A public facility and its own municipality, Central Illinois Regional Airport is governed by its legal entity, the Central Illinois Regional Airport Authority (CIRAA). Comprised of seven locally-appointed members, the Central Illinois Regional Airport Authority’s Board of Commissioners meets monthly to determine policy, approve projects and expenditures and help shape the vision for CIRA’s future.
The Executive Director and Staff manage the day-to-day operations at CIRA regarding the safety, security, maintenance, Federal and State of Illinois regulations/procedures and airport tenants and property.
