RUNWAY 11/29 REHAB PROJECT PH. 1 – UPDATED SURFACE CLOSURE INFORMATION
As previously reported, in order to complete specific construction activities in the runway and taxiway intersection areas, the Authority is required to temporarily close movement areas. Please be advised, weather permitting, the following closures are being scheduled for the week of October 5th through October 10th. Further information will be available through NOTAMs which our office will be issuing.
Beginning this coming Monday, October 5th, and ending on Saturday, October 10, the intersection of Taxiway G and Runway 11/29 will be closed to all traffic. During this time, new shoulders will be installed along with the milling/paving of sections of Taxiway G. Work will also include underground boring and the installation of t new edge lighting equipment. Due to the nature of the work, this will be a hard closure for the duration of this work. Because of this closure, aircraft will be required to back-taxi using Runway 2/20.
Additionally, this coming Tuesday, October 6th, between the hours of 0700 and 1100, Runway 2/20 will be closed to non-scheduled aircraft operations, except with 30 minute prior coordination, to facilitate the seal coating of the blast pad at the approach end of Runway 29. Similar to past practice, this will be a soft closure that will allow aircraft to operate during this period by first contacting Airport Operations at 309.834.7396 to coordinate a temporary re-opening for their operation.
Lastly, on Friday, October 9th, between the hours of 0700 and 1100, Runway 2/20 will be closed to all aircraft as final paint markings are applied on the blast pad and threshold of Runway 29. This will be a hard closure for the 4-hour period or until the work has been completed and markings have dried.
Please see the attached map for details.

All hangars are uniform in design and include:
- Bi-fold doors
- Concrete floors
- Ceiling insulation
Hangar dimensions are available on the south hangar map.
