The Bloomington-Normal Airport Authority employs a total of approximately thirty-five full, part-time, and seasonal staff in various capacities including an administrative office, maintenance, operations, custodial and shuttle drivers.

The Bloomington Normal Airport Authority, operator of the Central Illinois Regional Airport, is seeking experienced applicants for the position of Chief Financial Officer.
Under general direction of the Executive Director, the Chief Financial Officer is responsible for overseeing the business and finance matters for the Airport Authority. The successful candidate will be responsible for all budgeting and accounting, fund management, financial planning, financial reporting and analysis, external audit preparations, coordinating Airport Authority financial goals, and managing the financial administration of grants, bonds, and capital projects.
The successful candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a minimum of seven (7) years of public or governmental accounting experience with at least three (3) years of progressive supervisory/management experience. Active Certified Public Accountant license (CPA) is required and Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) is desired.
Salary is commensurate with experience. The Authority offers medical, dental, vision and life insurance along with participation in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund.
