Central Illinois Regional Airport is owned and operated by the Bloomington-Normal Airport Authority. Created in 1964 under the Illinois Airport Authorities Act, the Bloomington-Normal Airport Authority operates as an independent municipality with a seven member Board of Commissioners. The airport is located in McLean county in the southeastern section of the city of Bloomington. CIRA encompasses approximately 1,950 acres.

The Bloomington-Normal Airport Authority is overseen by seven appointed commissioners, two from the City of Bloomington, two from the Town of Normal and three from the McLean County Board.

Pursuant to the Illinois Open Meetings Act, notice is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners of the Bloomington Normal Airport Authority will hold its regular monthly meetings in the Board Room on the second level of the terminal building at the Central Illinois Regional Airport, Bloomington, IL at 4:30 p.m. on the following dates in 2017:

Several Committees exist to guide airport operations, including a Personnel Committee, a GA Committee, a Public Policy Committee, Audit and Finance Committee and Ad Hoc committees for specific projects.
As required under this Act, a physical copy of this information for qualifying employees may be accessed at the Bloomington-Normal Airport Authority office, 3201 CIRA Drive, Suite 200, Bloomington, IL during normal business hours Monday through Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. excluding holidays.
